WRITTEN RECIPE:
➜ INGREDIENTS:
1.5 – 2lb black mussels, scrubbed, cleaned & debearded
1 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 shallots, chopped
3/4 cup cooking white wine
1/8 tsp salt, or to taste
dash of black pepper, or to taste
3 tbsp room temp unsalted butter
handful of parsley, roughly chopped
crusty bread/toasted baguette
Parmesan cheese, optional
Lemon wedges, optional

➜ INSTRUCTIONS:
1) On medium heat, heat olive oil in a skillet or pan, swirling to coat evenly.
2) Add minced garlic and chopped shallots and stir for 30 seconds.
3) Pour in the cooking white wine, then add salt and pepper (or to taste). Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
4) Turn heat to medium-high, then add the mussels. Cover the pan with a lid, then steam for 4 minutes.
5) After 4 minutes, remove the lid, then turn the fire back down to medium. Add the unsalted butter and stir until it is completely melted.
6) Top with chopped parsley and optional parmesan cheese and/or optional lemon juice.
7) Pair with some crusty bread or toasted baguette. Enjoy!
